So, I have kids with adventurous spirits. As well they should. This adventurous spirit led to daughter #2 going on a service trip to Kenya last spring and stay with the Maasai Tribe on the Mara....so, like, a legit tribe in Kenya - no tourist destination for my kids.
The standard m.o.....
.....for traveling abroad is to just vaccinate and pretend like it's safe and effective and that's all you need to do. But in our house......no bueno for this approach.
Since I've been a vaccine and holistic health educator since 1997, I've done my fair share of advising people on what to do instead of travel vaccines for a long time, but this was the first time I actually had to put it all to practice for my own peeps. It wasn't hard for me to figure out, per se, but it did take some pre planning for sure. Malaria is the main concern for traveling to Kenya, but beyond that I also had concerns with food poisoning, adjusting her circadian rhythm, challenges to my daughter's health regarding crossing so many time zones, being in so many airports, the length of time on the plane, and parasites. Then there was arriving home and adjusting back.
Before I get into what I did, I'll give you the head's up that she stayed completely healthy through this whole process - before, during, and after as did her best friend who did the protocol, too, and didn't not vaccinate. Granted, they are incredibly healthy teenagers with no pre existing conditions, but she literally had zero complaints, even though she drank the blood of some animal and had goat intestine and who knows what else (probably some good amount of candy, which honestly stresses me out more than the blood or the goat intestine).
As always, there are no guarantees with this protocol and I'm not even recommending you do it. This is just for informational purposes only. You know the drill - if you decide to execute this protocol you take responsibility for yourself yada yada yada. Also, I did this post in a hurry per a few people's requests, so please excuse the lack of resources given for the protocols below. Keep in mind I make my own remedies, so what I am linking to might not necessarily be the remedy they took. Also, I know this is a lot of things to do. I think even if you did half of the things listed here you are in good shape. All my formulas are the in the Home Farmacist Course here.
Daily, starting about 3 weeks prior to travel:
PREbiotic green smoothie with 1 tsp rosehip powder (for vitamin c)
